With over 29 years of experience in the hairdressing and barbering industry, Duncan Wood's journey began at the age of 15 when he started studying through the National Hairdressing Federation. Completing both Levels 2 and 3, Duncan honed his craft, quickly gaining a reputation for excellence. He had the privilege of working alongside some of Scotland's top stylists in leading salons, further refining his skills before going self-employed in 2010.

Passionate about the artistry and creativity of the job, Duncan thrives on building relationships with his clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored styles that not only suit them but also inspire them. His dedication to the craft drives him to stay at the forefront of trends and techniques, continuously learning and evolving.

In addition to his own success, Duncan has played a significant role in training the next generation of barbers and hairdressers. Over the years, he has mentored numerous apprentices, many of whom have gone on to launch their own successful businesses. One of his proudest achievements is having mentored an apprentice who went on to win the prestigious title of Scottish Barber of the Year. For Duncan, the opportunity to pass on his knowledge and inspire future professionals is one of the most rewarding aspects of his career.
